ITINERARY ACTIVITY
Day 1: Accra, Ghana
Akwaaba!!! Welcome to Accra!! An air- conditioned bus will take you to your hotel.
After check-in your Guide will give you some briefing on your stay in Ghana. After the briefing Guide will continue with you to drive through the campus of University of Ghana, Legon before we go to our hotel.
There will be a Welcome Dinner

Day 2: Tour of Accra
Highlights:

- W.E.B. Dubois Center
Welcome to the bustling city of Accra. After breakfast we head off to Jamestown to see some sites from the colonial days like the Light House, Brazil House then we move on to Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Center built in Memory of the 1st President of Ghana. From there we visit the Arts Center where you can buy different types of artworks created by local artists. We move on to the Independence Square where Dr. Kwame Nkrumah lit the flame of African Liberation in 1961 when Ghana got Independence. After that we move to the Black Stars Square to take pictures. After a lunch break we will visit the W.E.B. Dubois Center to see the life and work of the renowned Pan-Africanist who lived in Ghana.

Days 3 & 4: Assin Manso, Cape Coast and Elmina

Today we travel to Cape Coast making a stop at Assin Manso to see the slave river site where the captured Africans took their last bath before they were sent to the long journey to the West. Assin Manso is also the burial site of the two slaves who’s remains were returned from the U.S. and Jamaica during Ghana’s first Emancipation Day in August 1988.
We have lunch when we arrive in Cape Coast then go straight to visit Cape Coast Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site. A major departure site for slaves. The “Door of NO Return” and the dungeons in this Castle tell the whole story.

Next Morning We start with breakfast then Go to visit Elmina Castle another World UNESCO Heritage site and a departure point for the Slave Trade. Right outside the castle we can go see the colorful fishing boats.
We go to Kakum National Park to take a walk on the forest floor to see different species of birds, mammals, butterflies and also to take a walk on the 1000ft canopy walk with platforms that reach over 150ft above the ground. We return to Accra.

Day 5: Free Day
Day to Relax. Group outing will be planned. You can choose to stay at hotel and chill by pool.
Day 6: Shai Hills Reserve & Akosombo
We will head out early. To the Shai Hills Resource Reserve in Afienya. You Will experience nature and wildlife in this park. Stunning landscape, zebras, baboons, antelopes and monkeys then we will visit the caves to see the artifacts of the Krobo people. This is a chance to do some hiking and rock climbing.
After this we drive to Akosombo. We will drive over the Adomi Bridge, our main attraction at Atimpoku. The Adomi Bridge is a lattice steel Arch suspension bridge built by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah in 1957. From there we head over to Bridgeview Hotel to have lunch and take pictures with the bridge as a backdrop. Then we will head to Royal Senchi to catch a boat ride on the Volta Lake to see the Adomi bridge once again from a different angle.

Day 7: Museum & Art Gallery Tour – Accra

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Accra is The National Museum. It is the largest of the six oldest art museums in Africa and holds the unique position of preserving Ghana’s cultural legacy and that of Africa at large. The artifacts found in this museum offer a rich journey from stone age to recent historical past.
You will find masks, beads, pottery, stools, weights and textiles. Artifacts from other African countries are also on display, showcasing the rich African culture. Also on display are paintings and sculpture. After this we will visit The Loom, An Art gallery which has been operational for 54+ years.

Days 8 & 9. 2 Day Trip to Ada

We leave to Ada after breakfast. A 2 hour trip from Accra.
We check into Aqua Safari Resort and head straight to Nyinkyim Museum. This is an evolving museum that combines African art, history and performance; intangible heritage such as Drumming, dancing, traditional rites and food.
Relax on the beach whilst you enjoy the Atlantic ocean, your choice, take a walk and explore the resort. Enjoy the Segway ride. Discover the captivating wildlife … the adorable peacocks, tortoises, ponies and donkeys. Whatever you choose to do, the views are stunning!
Have some cocktails by the pool overlooking the Atlantic. Catch some fish, go kayaking, canoeing, etc. With the help of the certified Hotel staff.
Go jet-skiing, get a massage just enjoy Big Ada!!!
After all the relaxation, We take a boat cruise to the island and mangroves in the afternoon we may take part in Some local activities.

Day 10. Departure Day
Your day to Chill, relax, do last minute shopping even grab a bite in a group. We will be at your service.
Departure to airport is at 6pm.
